Renowned author William S. Burroughs (“Naked Lunch,” “Junky,” “Queer”) lived in this New Orleans home from 1948 to 1949. The house was famously documented in fellow author Jack Kerouac’s novel “On the Road,” where he recounted visiting Burroughs on January 21, 1949. There is a historical marker located to the left of the house.
