The 2002 Michael Apted film “Enough,” starring Jennifer Lopez, was filmed in Southern California, San Francisco and Washington. Mitch Hiller, played by Billy Campbell, buys this home in Pasadena, which isn’t for sale, for his wife Slim, played by Lopez.
While fleeing from her husband, Slim attempts to stay at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, only to discover her credit cards have been frozen. The hotel is one of the most frequently used locations in all of Los Angeles, having appeared in “Ghostbusters,” “Beverly Hills Cop,” “Independence Day,” “Fight Club” “Mank” “Species,” “Blonde,” “Oppenheimer” and countless more productions.
The 1995 Kathryn Bigelow film “Strange Days” is set in the last two days of 1999 in Los Angeles, California. Lenny, played by Ralph Fiennes, uses an illegal electronic device known as a SQUID that records memories onto a disc. On one of these discs, Lenny plays back memories of his ex-girlfriend Faith, played by Juliette Lewis, skating at Venice Beach.

The area has changed a bit, but the Sidewalk Cafe is visible in the background, which is still there. The same cafe was seen in the film “Southland Tales.”
Lenny and Mace, played by Angela Bassett, pick up Mr. Fumitsu at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood. The hotel has been featured in numerous other films, such as “Freaky Friday,” “Get Shorty,” “The Player,” “Wayne’s World 2,” the 2003 remake of “The Italian Job” and many more.

The murder scene involving the killer climbing from one room to another from the balconies was filmed at the Andaz West Hollywood (8401 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069), which was given the fictional name Sunset Regent. The hotel has also been featured in such films as “Almost Famous” and “This Is Spinal Tap” and has quite a history with rock stars committing various acts of debauchery.
Max Peltier, played by Tom Sizemore, keeps an eye on Faith as she exits a church with Philo Gant, played by Michael Wincott.

Jeriko One, played by Glenn Plummer, gets pulled over by police under the 6th St Bridge, which has since been demolished and rebuilt entirely.

The climax of the film was shot at the Westin Bonaventure, which is one of the most frequently filmed locations in all of Los Angeles. Countless other movies have filmed there, such as “True Lies,” “In the Line of Fire,” “Interstellar,” “Rain Man,” “Lethal Weapon 2,” “Forget Paris,” “Nick of Time,” “Hard to Kill,” ‘Playing God” and many more.

The US Bank Tower in Downtown Los Angeles is seen as the streets are filled with thousands of people celebrating the end of 1999.

The police shootout at the end was filmed on S Broadway in Downtown L.A., with the Palace Theatre visible in the background.
The 1996 Robert Rodriguez film “From Dusk Till Dawn,” written by Quentin Tarantino, is set in Texas and Mexico. Production actually took place at neither, however. Instead, the film was shot primarily in California.
In the opening scene, the Gecko Brothers, Seth and Richie, played by George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino respectively, visit Benny’s World of Liquor. The same location also appeared in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” and still stands today. The building can be found in Lancaster, California. However, a fence has since been erected around the property, obscuring some of the views.

Here is the area next to the building, where Texas Ranger Earl McGraw, played by Michael Parks, first arrives, much in the same way he does (as the same character) in “Kill Bill.” The church he visits in that film is also located in Lancaster, just minutes away from this location.
Seth and Richie speed off down 140th St E as the opening credits begin.
The Dew Drop Motel where the Gecko Brothers meet Jacob, played by Harvey Keitel, can be found in Mojave. The same motel, actually called the Budget Inn Motel, was featured in the film “Nocturnal Animals.” Other than some slight renovations to the front of the motel, it still looks similar to how it appeared in the film.

The restaurant where Jacob eats with his daughter Kate and son Scott, played by Juliette Lewis and Ernie Liu respectively, has since been demolished. It was formerly located in Victorville, on I-15 Frontage Rd, just off Interstate 15. Here is where the building once stood.

The Titty Twister bar and strip club is not located in Mexico, as depicted in the film. It was a set built on a dry lake bed in Yermo, just off Interstate 15, near Calico Blvd and Ghost Town Rd. There are, of course, no longer any remnants of the set. However, the mountains in the background allow the ability to coordinate where the sets approximately stood. Facing west on the lake bed, looking towards Ghost Town Rd is where the Titty Twister was located.

Looking the opposite direction is where the dirt path up to the bar was located. There is of course no Aztec temple to be found there, which was a visual effect.
The whip used by Sex Machine, played by Tom Savini, could be found on display at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, Washington as part of their horror exhibition, “Scared to Death: The Thrill of Horror Film.”

Oliver Stone’s 1994 film “Natural Born Killers” was shot in quite a few different locations, including Arizona, New Mexico, Illinois and Indiana, as the story depicts two killers on a cross-country mass murder spree. In the opening scenes of the film, Micky and Mallory, played by Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis respectively, visit a restaurant on a desert road known as the “5 To 2 Cafe.” After some unwanted advances and rude remarks from some locals, things quickly turn violent.
The building used in the scene was vacant at the time of filming and dressed to appear like a working establishment by the filmmakers. It still remains standing all these years later, although it is closed down and long since boarded up. The former diner can be found on AZ-99, along an isolated stretch on the outskirts of Winslow, Arizona. To visit in person, it feels quite remote. However, in reality, it’s only a few miles from Interstate 40, between the highway and the town of Leupp. The exact location of the building is 35°06’54.8″N, 110°52’20.3″W.

The property is fenced off from the sides and there is a residence next door, so be careful not to trespass or disturb the tenants.
These distinct circular windows can still be seen on the sides of the building. The windows are seen in the film behind Juliette Lewis, as she dances in front of the jukebox.

For those wondering, the “5 To 2 Cafe” sign out front near the road is long since gone.
Micky and Mallory get married at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge in El Prado, New Mexico. The bridge is far removed from most tourist destinations, requiring hours of driving through mountains and winding terrain to reach it. Once you’re there, however, it’s instantly recognizable.

The same bridge appeared in the films “Twins,” “She’s Having A Baby,” “This Must Be The Place,” “Wild Hogs,” “Vacation,” “Paul,” “Terminator: Salvation,” “The Signal,” “Catchfire” and “White Sands.”
Here is where the doll falls at the beginning of the scene and where Micky and Mallory cut their hands, hold them together and drop their blood into the river below.
Here is where the loud truck passengers drive by and momentarily irritate Micky and Mallory.
The gorge is a very sheer drop, so the surrounding land is mostly fenced off, preventing you from getting too close to the edges. Here is about as close as you can get, with this view taken through the wire fencing.
Here is a view standing on the middle of the bridge looking out at the road. It gets extremely windy on this bridge, so much so, you can feel the vibration on the bridge as you stand on it.
This side of the gorge isn’t seen in the film, but here is the view from the opposite side of the bridge.
Here are some landmarks and signs for the bridge. You can see some of the fencing in the background, which is taller than it may appear here.
While it is permissible to fly drones at the bridge, the area is so windy, you’ll almost certainly lose your drone immediately if you attempt to fly one. We don’t recommend trying it. There is a parking lot available on one side of the bridge and a rest area on the other side, making it easy to access on foot. The drive to get there is the hardest part.
Later in the film, Micky and Mallory are finally captured at the “Drug Zone” after being bitten by rattlesnakes and in need of medicine. The building is currently a crafts store and can be found in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Aside from the sign and some changes to the front entrance, the building otherwise still resembles how it appeared in the film.
A standoff between Micky and the cops ensues out front and after surrendering, Micky is then beaten by the police, as they try to prevent a film crew from capturing it.

The exterior courthouse scene, where the large crowd is gathered, was filmed in Chicago. The interior court scenes were filmed at Hammond City Hall in Hammond, Indiana (5925 Calumet Ave, Hammond, IN 46320).

The prison scenes were filmed at Stateville Correctional Center, a real, operating prison in Crest Hill, about 45 minutes south of Chicago. The same prison appeared in the 1983 film “Bad Boys,” as well as the 1987 film “Weeds.” While images of the facility are widely available online, we were quickly told by prison guards not to take photographs. So we do not recommend attempting them here.

For the 1989 sequel “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” most of the story is set in Chicago, Illinois, but production took place primarily in Burbank, California, with a few exteriors filmed in Chicago and Colorado. The Griswold house was not a real house, rather a set on the Warner Bros. Ranch. The ranch was located separate from the main Warner Bros. Studio lot and not open to public tours. The entire ranch was demolished in 2023, with sound stages taking over the space. The same house could be seen in “American Beauty,” “WandaVision,” “Hocus Pocus,” “Small Soldiers,” “Pleasantville” and more.

Just next to the Griswold house was the house of Todd and Margo, played by Nicholas Guest and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. It too was a set, but of all the houses on the ranch, it had the most functional interior, having been used in many productions. The house was mostly shown from side angles or close-ups, likely due to having been used in another popular film series at that time, such as “Lethal Weapon,” where it served as Danny Glover’s house. Known as the Lindsay house, it has also appeared in “American Beauty,” “WandaVision,” The Three Stooges serials, “Pushing Daisies,” “The Middle” and many more. It too has since been demolished.

Clark flirts with an attractive woman working at a department store, before his son busts him. This was filmed at Bullocks Wilshire, a famous art deco building on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles. Once a luxury department store, the building now operates as a law school. The building is only seen from interior views in the film. While the inside is typically closed to the public, there are occasional public tour opportunities. The building has also been seen in the films “Mank,” “The Aviator,” “The Public Enemy” and “Dunston Checks In,” the TV series “Moonlighting” and Areosmith’s music video for “Love in an Elevator,” as well many other productions.

Later in the film, Clark fantasizes about the same department store woman, undressing at a pool in his back yard. The pool was also located at the Warner Bros Ranch. While located fairly close to the Griswold house, it was actually on the opposite side of the street (known as Blondie St), not in back of the house as depicted in the film. If not for the trees in the background of the photo below, you could see the Griswold house in the distance. This area has likewise since been demolished.

Near the end of the film, Cousin Eddie, played by Randy Quaid, abducts Clark’s boss from his home after he stiffs his staff on their Christmas bonuses. This was filmed at the Mattison Boyd Jones house in Glendale, California. The house can be a bit tricky to see from the road, as the front of the property has a long fence with high shrubs and the driveway is gated. However, from the right angle you can still catch a view. Currently a private residence, the house has been seen in many television shows, primarily from the 70s and 80s, including “Flamingo Road,” “Columbo,” “Knight Rider” and “Emerald Point N.A.S.”
