The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)

The 1997 sequel “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” largely filmed around Northern and Southern California. Early in the film, Ian Malcolm, played by Jeff Goldblum, visits the home of John Hammond, played by Richard Attenborough. The interiors of Hammond’s house were filmed at Mayfield Senior School, a private Catholic high school for girls, located in Pasadena. The same location has appeared in many films, such as “Sneakers,” “Devil In A Blue Dress,” “Matlida,” “Legally Blonde,” the 1996 remake of “The Nutty Professor,” “The Cutting Edge,” “All About Steve,” “The Good German,” “State Of Play,” “The Shadow” and many more. It has also appeared in such TV series as “Ray Donovan,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “NCIS,” “Runaways” and more.

The gas station where Ian and Sarah Harding, played by Julianne Moore, catch up with the T-Rex can be found back in Granada Hills. It has since been remodeled, but we managed to visit it while it still appeared similar to how it did in the film.
