River’s Edge (1986)

The 1986 drama “River’s Edge,” starring Keanu Reeves and Crispin Glover, was primarily filmed around the Sunland-Tujunga area of the San Fernando Valley in California, with the exception of the opening crime scene, which was filmed at River Bend Park in Sacramento (2300 Rod Beaudry Dr, Sacramento, CA 95827).

Matt, played by Reeves, lives at this home with his younger brother Tim.

The high school the teenage characters attend is Verdugo Hills High School. The school has been featured in countless films, such as “The Craft,” “Heathers,” “Cursed,” “Better Off Dead,” “Christine,” “Not Another Teen Movie,” “187” “Boys And Girls,” “Clockstoppers” and “Little Hercules In 3-D.” It also appeared in such TV shows as “Little Fires Everywhere,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Monk,” “Felicity” “My So-Called Life,” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Quantum Leap” and many more.

Clarissa, played by Ione Skye, lives at this house, which is located just across the street from Moko’s house.

John gets beer for Layne, played by Crispin Glover, at this liquor store.

John stops by a hardware store with Feck, played by Dennis Hopper, and proceeds to rob the place. This building is located just across the street from the above liquor store.
