Manhattan (1979)

The 1979 Woody Allen film “Manhattan” was of course filmed in New York City. The iconic shot of Isaac and Mary, played by Allen and Diane Keaton, sitting on a bench overlooking the Queensboro Bridge was filmed at Sutton Square and Riverview Terrace. The image was also immortalized on the film’s poster. The bridge has appeared in countless films, such as “Death Wish,” “Home Alone 2: Lost In New York,” “Ms. 45” and many more.

Star 80 (1983)

The 1983 film “Star 80,” starring Mariel Hemingway and Eric Roberts, was filmed in Los Angeles, Vancouver and New York. The film tells the true story of model and actress Dorothy Stratten, played by Hemingway, and her husband, played by Roberts. Stratten was tragically killed by her husband in 1980 after she proceeded with plans to divorce him. The moved filmed at the same home where the actual crime took place.
