The 2012 horror film “The Haunting of Whaley House” is set in San Diego, where the real Whaley house can be found (2476 San Diego Ave, San Diego, CA 92110). However, apparently due to it’s tight quarters, it was not used in the film. A much different looking home, known as The Bembridge House and located in Long Beach, was used for the film instead. Both the real home and it’s fictional counterpart are open to public tours.
