Spider-Man 3 (2007)

The third and final installment in Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, “Spider-Man 3,” was filmed in New York City, Cleveland, Ohio and Los Angeles, California. The Daily Bugle is once again featured, which is the iconic Flatiron Building in Manhattan. The building has appeared in countless films, such as “The Usual Suspects,” “As Good As It Gets” and of course “Spider-Man.”

As with previous installments, the interior of Harry Osborn’s (James Franco) Manhattan home is once again filmed at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, California.

In one scene, Many Jane is seen making dinner in the kitchen with Harry.

After a battle with The Sandman, played by Thomas Haden Church, Spider-Man climbs out of a crashed armored truck, in front of this building in Cleveland, Ohio. Several scenes were filmed in Cleveland, standing in for New York City. The same building was seen in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) invites Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) to dinner, where things do not go as planned. These scenes were filmed at the famous “Pompeian Room” of the Doheny Mansion, located on the campus of Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles.  While the mansion does offer occasional tours to the public, some of the guides can be strict about allowing photos inside.  Many films have shot at the mansion, including “The Princess Diaries,” “Catch Me If You Can,” “Drag Me To Hell,” “Flowers In The Attic,” “The Three Amigos” and more.

Spider-Man arrives at a bank the Sandman has jobs robbed, only to find Sandman has just left the scene. The same building was also seen in the films “(500) Days Of Summer,” “Killing Zoe” and “Night Hunter.”

Eddie Brock, played by Topher Grace, prays inside of this church for the death of Peter Parker. The interior scenes were filmed at St. Brendan Catholic Church, which has appeared in numerous productions, including “The Curse Of La Llorona,” “Fight Club,” “Armageddon” and the Guns N’ Roses music video for “November Rain.”

The Mist (2007)

The 2007 Frank Darabont film “The Mist,” based on the 1980 novella by Stephen King, was filmed around Shreveport, Louisiana. The home of David Drayton, played by Thomas Jane, can be found at Cross Lake in Shreveport. The home sits a bit far back from the main road, with a gate out front. However, you can in fact see the home from the street, but your view might be a bit obscured by trees.

After a storm hits at the beginning of the film, David and his family survey the damage in the back yard.

The supermarket where much of the film takes place can be found about 30 minutes north of Shreveport in the town of Vivian. Only the exteriors were filmed here, the interiors were a set, built at StageWorks of Louisiana (400 Clyde Fant Pkwy, Shreveport, LA 71101).

The supermarket has remained vacant for years, with rumors of demolition, but for now it remains standing.

The pharmacy exterior was a facade built for the film. It was located in the parking lot of the supermarket, in this area. It was removed at the end of filming.

Day Shift (2022)

The 2022 action comedy “Day Shift,” starring Jamie Foxx, was primarily filmed in Southern California. In the film, Bud Jablonski, played by Foxx, lives at this apartment building, which can be found in Toluca Lake. The area where he is seen parking can be found facing Sarah St.

Bud’s ex-wife and daughter live in this home, located in Northridge.

Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers (1995)

“Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers,” like it’s two previous installments, Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers, was primarily filmed around Utah. For this sequel, the Myers house, where relatives of the Strode family are living, can be found in Salt Lake City.

Cool As Ice (1991)

The 1991 film “Cool as Ice,” starring Vanilla Ice, was filmed in Southern California. Early in the film, Johnny Van Owen, played by Vanilla Ice, rides his motorcycle through town with his friends. One of his friend’s motorcycles breaks down in this area of Glendora.

Johnny’s crew stumbles upon an eccentrically designed repair shop, where they repair his crew member’s motorcycle. There was quite a bit of production design added for the film, the real home is far more modest than what appears on screen.

The home of Kathy, played by Kristin Minter, can also be found in Glendora, located just a few doors down from the repair shop house, as depicted in the film.

Grumpy Old Men (1993)

The 1993 comedy “Grumpy Old Men,” starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, was filmed in Minnesota. The houses seen in the film can be found in St Paul. Here is the home of John Gustafson, played by Lemmon.

The two houses are of course located side by side, as depicted in the film.

Directly across the street from those two houses is the home of Ariel Truax, played by Ann-Margret. All three homes appeared once again in the sequel, “Grumpier Old Men.”

Secretary (2002)

The 2002 Steven Shainberg film “Secretary” was shot in Southern California. In the film, E. Edward Grey, played by James Spader, works as an attorney in this building, where Lee Holloway, played by Maggie Gyllenhaal, becomes his secretary. The exterior scenes were filmed at the Huron Substation. The building was originally constructed for the purpose of converting electricity to power trolleys for the Yellow Car railway system, but was eventually sold off and operated as an event and filming venue. The same building appears in numerous films, including “The Fast And The Furious,” “The Kids Are Alright,” “Date Night,” “Catwoman,” “Must Love Dogs” and “Malibu’s Most Wanted,” as well as the TV shows “NCIS: New Orleans,” “True Blood,” “Heroes,” “Dollhouse” and “Major Crimes.” It has also appeared in such music videos as Jonas Brothers – Kids of the Future and Josh Groban – February Song.

Lee goes to a photo shop and gets a picture of herself made for Mr. Grey. Formerly known as The Darkroom, the storefront is currently vacant with rumors of possible redevelopment. The same location also appeared in the film “The Big Picture” and can briefly be seen in “Falling Down.”
