Pawnee City Hall from the TV series “Parks and Recreation” is supposedly located in Indiana. The building is actually Pasadena City Hall in Pasadena, California. The building has also been featured in such films as “American Pie 2,” “Beverly Hills Cop II,” “The Net” and “S1m0ne.”
The famous beach from the movie “From Here to Eternity,” known as Halona Beach Cove, can be found on the Southeast shore on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The beach is located just off the Kalanianaʻole Hwy (HI-72), but nearby parking can be limited during peak tourist times. The beach itself is only accessible by hiking down the rocks.
Much like the first two installments, “Insidious: Chapter 3” was filmed in Los Angeles, California. Elise Rainier’s house can be found in the Highland Park neighborhood. The same house was seen in “Insidious: Chapter 2.”

The FBI Headquarters was filmed at Los Angeles Center Studios. This is a large facility consisting of numerous buildings. The studio has been used, both for interior and exterior sets, in countless films and shows, such as “The Game,” “Fight Club” and dozens more. It’s difficult to photograph the property, because many of the surrounding roads are gated off.

While not an actual filming location, in the town of Herriman, Utah, you’ll find a replica of Carl and Ellie’s house from the 2009 animated film “Up.” Inspired by the film, the house was built as a dream home by private residents. While the homeowners are accommodating to visitors taking quick photos, they ask you make reservations (via their website) if you plan to photograph for more than a couple minutes in front of the property.

The 1993 sci-fi horror film “Ghost in the Machine,” starring Karen Allen, was filmed around Southern California. The killer first strikes at this home in Pacific Palisades. The animal hospital and water tower were filmed along Main Street in Senoia, which has a few more buildings since filming took place. This same area also served as Woodbury in the TV series “The Walking Dead,” which also famously films in Senoia.
The house from the late 80s/early 90s sitcom “Empty Nest,” supposedly located in Miami, Florida, can actually be found in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The show is a spin-off of “The Golden Girls” and much like that show, a replica of the house was later built at the former Disney-MGM Studios backlot in Orlando. While the facade in Orlando has long since been demolished, the original home in Brentwood still stands.
